Tracheobronchomalacia

Nope, that's not a so not a typo! Tracheobronchomalacia is a real thing and this is truly how it's spelled and I am one of the lucky thousand people in this great big world of ours to have been diagnosed it (more on this to come). In June of 2017 when the nurse practitioner I was seeing at National Jewish Hospital in Denver, CO said she, "Had a sneaking suspicion that I had tracheonbronchomalacia," my exact response was - "Can you spell that for me?' It's a completely normal response to a word so few of us have ever heard of, yet one that can so dramatically change one's life when told they have it.

This section of my website will detail what exactly tracheobronchomalacia (TBM from here on out) is, how it's diagnosed, and how it's treated as there is no cure for it. TBM resources will be provided as well as additional information will be provided and updated as new research results are available. I hope you or a loved one never experience receiving a diagnosis of TBM, but if you do, I hope this site helps you and provides you the information I wish I had had access to when I was diagnosed.
