In 2012, I bought a charming little home decor boutique in an old historic area just outside of St. Louis. It had been a dream of mine to own a little shop once I was finished with being a professor since I had dreamed of being a professor. Little did I know that my dream shop was soon to become my little shop of horrors. The building, a beautiful old colonial house, that housed my business and was also my place of residence, had a rather large black mold problem. It only took a few weeks for the beginning symptoms of mold exposure to set in. It's taken years to recover from them and my body/life will never be the same. This section will detail the ways in which I dealt with mold exposure, the things I found to be helpful, and resources that I hope will help anyone who is suffering, or knows someone who is suffering, from mold exposure.

I designed this logo and absolutely loved it! I named my shop after my Great Grandma, Lena Tropf.

This beautiful historic building housed so many dreams for me and I was so excited to move in and get my business up and running!
